Dr. Sanjeev Chopra

Dr Sanjeev Chopra superannuated as the Director of Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration in March 202I after putting in thirty-six in the Indian Administrative service. He has served as the District Magistrate of Murshidabad, Secretary to the Industrial Development and Information Technology Departments of Government of Uttarakhand and as the Additional Chief Secretary in the Departments of Agriculture and Industry to the Government of West Bengal. He was the Mission Director for the National Horticulture Mission and the National Mission on Micro Irrigation and MD of the NAFED and National Horticulture Board, besides looking after International Cooperation in the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India.

He holds a PhD in Management, besides degrees in Law, History and Literature. He held Hubert H Humphrey Fellow at Cornell and the Robert S McNamara Fellow at World bank.

He has been elected as a Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and is a Fellow and Affiliate of the Laxmi Mittal and Family South Asia Institute, Harvard. He is also a Distinguished Fellow of the United Services Institute, India’s oldest think tank on national security issues.

Besides curating the ‘Valley of Words’ a literature and arts festival at Dehradun in November every year he is a columnist for several publications including The Print. He is currently working on the political economy of reorganization of the states of India to be published in July 2022 by Harper Collins India.

Ajit Rangnekar

Ajit Rangnekar is the Director-General of Research and Innovation Circle of Hyderabad, a Telangana Government initiative. He also heads the PSA supported Hyderabad City Cluster initiative which is a collaborative network of research and academic institutions, industry, startups, civic bodies, and government, to implement science and technology innovations for mass impact.

He retired as the Dean of the Indian School of Business, India’s highest-ranked Business School. He has been a member of many global committees in Business Education. He is the Governing Board member of IIITH, a founding member of T-Hub, a Board member of companies, and a Director of Social Venture Partners, India where he volunteers with NGOs to help them increase impact.

Prior to ISB, he was in Hong Kong for over 20 years, 14 of those with Price Waterhouse Consulting, handling various roles including Country Head, first of PW and then of PwC Hong Kong Consulting practice, and East Asia Head of PwC Telecom practice and of Learning and Development.

He is a graduate of IIT, Bombay, and did his post-graduation in Management from IIM, Ahmedabad.
